ABOUT SECTOR OS

Built for the work
behind the business.

A business owner should not need to become an IT expert to keep a diary, follow up an enquiry or understand what needs attention.

A practical starting point.

Ask Dougie is being developed by Maurice Sheridan in Northern Ireland, drawing on experience of running practical businesses and the administrative work that comes with them.

The idea is straightforward: give each sector useful tools in a familiar workspace, explain setup in plain language and automate routine communications as the required services are connected.

We are starting with the UK and Ireland and developing each sector in stages, with feedback from business owners, staff and organisers.

Useful before complicated.

We want the daily essentials to feel clear: what is booked, what needs doing, who needs an update and which records need attention.

A salon, a delivery business and a drama school have different routines. Ask Dougie is designed to share a common foundation while giving each sector its own tools and language.

We are at an early development stage. The prototypes show the direction of the product; they do not represent a fully launched service.

Our working principles.

Keep it understandable

Clear screens, useful guides and honest explanations of what is available.

Build around real routines

Test the everyday workflow with people who do the work before expanding it.

Be clear about responsibilities

Explain subscriptions, external provider accounts and data handling before customers commit.
